It is so easy around here to become a lazy commuter. I never walk anywhere anymore everywhere I go there are buses, subways, escalators and elevators! There is no need to do much I get everywhere I need to quickly with hardly any walking!
The bus stop isn't even a minute from the house and the subway station is underneath my building so I don't even have to get out and walk there. Even if I wanted to take the stairs in my building I don't have the option. The only stairs they have are fire stairs and you can't use them regularly.
Right now they are renovating all the bathrooms on my floor at work. So if you need to use the facilities you have to go up four floors or down one. It takes 15 minutes to go to the bathroom cause you spend most of it waiting for the damn elevator! If there was only a set of stairs you could use it would cut the time in half. IT really sucks that this renovation will be going on for 6 weeks!
